She immediately put me at ease, explained everything in detail and was able to answer all my questions without ambiguity. After that, everything was very well organised and every appointment has been on time and useful. My surgery was performed by Dr Ditta and his team. That was also a great experience (as far as surgery goes). He was very empathetic and took my ideas and opinions into account before proceeding. The recovery was nowhere near as bad as I anticipated - essentially, I was back to normal in two weeks. It’s been 4 months since the surgery and I’ve had a few follow ups with Sara. I had an initial consultation with Sara at the start of May and she was so informative, happy to answer any questions and there was no pressure to book whatsoever. The flexibility with dates was incredible and we settled on a date at the end of June. I had a series of follow up calls with the surgeon in the lead up too which was so helpful and communication was fantastic. On the day, Dr Elgindi and his team were super welcoming and lovely to be around! The procedure was comfortable and a breeze compared to what I was expecting! In terms of results, I am super happy already with the progress so far, I had minimal swelling and by 10 days all the scabs had fallen off and my new hairline looks fabulous! As a woman, my hairline has always been a sensitive topic for me, to the point I’d use a ridiculous amount of hairspray before going out to cover everything in the event of a slight breeze. I finally started looking for clinics in early 2025 but struggled to find ones in the UK with experience of making a hairline more feminine. Thankfully, an acquaintance recommended Harley Street HTC. After arranging an initial consultation, they were able to provide me with a loss of four and after photos from other women, How many of our clinics were unable to because, understandably, most of their clientele were men. I have also quite a nervous patient to say the least. However, Sara could not have been more helpful throughout the whole process. She answered all of my many questions promptly and with compassion and care. The actual transplant went as smooth as you could hope for, and the clinical team were super kind when I was nervous about them shaving the donor area. For reference I had my temples and my front hairline done in their central London clinic. During the initial two week recovery periods, they went over and above answering my many questions promptly and calming my anxieties around doing different processes correctly. Since then, they’ve checked in on me every three months for the past year, where I’ve met with Sara to discuss regrowth and upkeep. As, unlike most looking to get a hair transplant, I had quite long hair already, I’ll be honest and say that there were some periods where my overall hair did not look great due to the drastically different lengths. However, that could not be helped unless I wanted to shave my whole head and start from scratch. I am happy to report that after 12 months, my donor area is blending in  perfectly with the rest of my hair. Additionally, my recipient area has seen growth of about 4 or 5 inches and is very dense and full. Although I didn’t have the widest area done, I’m still over the moon with my results. Dr Elgindi did my transplant at the Bury, Manchester clinic, brilliant job, the healing process was fine and went as explained, so I didn't have to feel worried about if it had worked. Hair Transplant Before and After FAQs

Most of our patients start seeing new hair growth after 4–5 months as this is after the shedding phase. It takes between 9-12 months post-surgery to see thicker and fuller results appearing. Final outcomes vary slightly depending on hair type, density, and the technique used but are typically at the 12 – 18 month period.

In the first few days, you’ll notice some mild redness, swelling, and small scabs in the recipient area and the donor area. These naturally heal within 7–14 days. We provide an aftercare pack that contains everything you will need post surgery as well as support and an aftercare portal with videos of what to expect and what to do.

Your first wash is on day 3. This is a contactless wash of the recipient area but contact wash of the donor area. We provide shampoo and saline spray in the aftercare bag. You can use the spray bottle to mix shampoo with water to then spray on for your first wash. We also provide instructions on how to wash for the first few days post hair transplant surgery.

This is normal and called “shock loss.” The hair shafts shed temporarily while the follicles remain intact beneath the scalp. New growth begins a few months later as part of the natural cycle.

The cost varies from person to person as each patient will have a different area of hair loss as well as donor area. Typically hair transplants with Harley Street Hair Transplant Clinics cost between £3,000 and £7,000. You will receive a tailored pricing plan during your initial consultation with one of our patient advisors. You are then invited to also have a surgeon consultation to discuss any remaining medical questions.

Yes of course. You can browse the current selection of before and after pictures. We are regularly reviewing the images and updating this page with more of them. You can also ask to view more images during your consultation as well as ask to be put in touch with some of our previous patients to have a discussion with them about their experience with us and ask any questions that you have.

This depends on your level of hair loss and what you wish to achieve as well as what is possible to achieve. Mild recession may require 1,500 – 2,000 grafts, while more advanced thinning could need 2,500 – 3,000 grafts or more. As we don’t price per graft but per area, the patient advisor and surgeon will be able to see and assess you during your consultations and give you a tailored price for your level of hair loss.

We advise having 14 days off work post surgery. This also Depends on what you do for work. If you work from home for example, you can pretty much go to work from day 3-5 depending on how you feel. If however you work as a construction worker for example, then you will need the full 2 weeks off to give your transplanted area and donor area a chance to heal and for the newly transplanted grafts to “bed in”.

You’re likely going to be a good candidate if you have a good/great donor hair with lots of hair, stable hair loss, and realistic expectations. This is one of the reasons that we ask for pictures before any consultations are booked in order to assess your eligibility and make sure you aren’t having a consultation unnecessarily.

Yes we can perform unshaven/partially shaven hair transplants. Our surgeons have years of experience in UFUE hair transplants where the recipient area isn’t shaven when there is a clear area of hair loss, such as temple or hairline recession. The donor area has to be shaven.

Typically 12 months for most hair transplants with the crown needing 18 months. The hair transplant timeline is:
